Does a cold quail egg mean its dead?

wrong section, hun. However to review basic biology, Birds are cold blooded. Meaning they aren't mammals and don't have a core body temperature. They're body temperature changes due to the weather which is why birds migrate and sit on there eggs. My best advice to you is to keep it under a heat lamp with some blankets or just try to keep it as warm as possible without over heating it. Another good idea is to see a vet or a person at the pet store in the bird section to ask what they think is the best idea. Good luck!
