Why don't I think Richard Pryor's stand-up is funny?

Let me just say that Chris Rock is my favorite stand-up comedian of all time. I love Eddie Murphy, George Carlin, and most of the greats. I've even loved Richard Pryor in movies. So why don't I laugh when I watch his concert videos? I feel like I'm missing something, since he's often called the greatest stand-up ever.
