Could Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy do stand up in today's PC environment that condemns Tracy Morgan?

In the last 30 days Tracy Morgan has been lambasted for offending gay people, retarded people, and disabled people. He's basically putting on similar stand up acts to what the great Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy did in their acts. I don't think what Tracy Morgan does is any different from what all the legends of stand up comedy have done. I think Tracy is being unfairly castigated for a brand of comedy that he didn't even start.
