Does anyone know how to get started hunting quail in Arizona?

I moved here from Wisconsin and have a well trained dog but am not sure where to begin hunting. I know there is a lot of public land to hunt, but how are you supposed to know exactly what is owned and what is public. I live in Avondale near Phoenix. If you have info I would really appreciate it.
